Beautiful traditionally made solid oak country armoires.
These armoires are made by Georges Regnault in the same way that his father and grandfather made them. The family have been making traditional Norman furniture in the same hamlet since at least the 18thC. Unfortunately Georges son has become a mortician but Georges, now in his late sixties has tried and abandoned retirement and returned to what he was bred to.
There are essentially two basic styles he works with. The earlier Louis XIII simple 3 panelled doors with almost no carving. Nice simple lines which when finished in a natural colour can sit very nicely in todays interiors.
The second style is the later 18thC carved Louis XV style often seen on Norman marriage armoires.

It measures 77 cm wide x 175 cm tall x 51 cm deep (Including cornice)

Two door versions of either style can be made.
