An amazing piece of
furniture!
This highly carved Breton chestnut panel would have
started life as a Lit clos bed, this was basically an
enclosed box bed with a decorative side panel, very
good for keeping the draughts out!
These beds were used less and less during the late 19thC
and early 20thC.
As the carved panels were so beautiful they were made
into other items of furniture.
This is a very good example of Lit Clos panel that has
been sympathetically remade into a bookcase/storage
unit.
The Piece is large but does dismantle for delivery.
