Louis
Philippe style cabinets made in solid cherry.
These pieces are made by a solitary traditional cabinet
maker in a
neighbouring village to us in Brittany. The workshop
is surrounded by
his chickens and ducks, bloomin' freezing in winter
and supports a
family of barn owls in the defunct chimney.
The cornices, moldings etc
are all based on original pieces. With this detailing
almost any piece
required can be made to complement the lit bateau. The
timber used is
all selected from local, afforested stocks. Offcuts
are recycled as
winter fuel, shavings as mulch. Colouring, oiling and
wax polishing is
all done back in Bristol. The craftsmanship is superb.
Bespoke pieces supplied have included remote controlled
TV cabinets, various desks,
dressers, cheval mirrors, super-length chests etc.
Standard items include Armoires, four drawer chests,
bedside cabinets and dressing tables
As each item is made to order the measurements can be
altered to customers requirements.
