Dimensions:
From Savoy comes this 19thC blonde oak buffet.
It was acquired from a couple in a tiny terraced house, formerly the village sabotier or clog makers.
The buffet was specially made narrower than the chunky 60-65 cm norm to reflect the workshop/houses bijou dimensions.
Beautifully carved with swags and garlands probably to commemorate a c1850s marriage.
The functional, narrower width is ideal, giving plenty of charm and presence without swamping a modest space.
The inside is shelved.
