Beautiful and rare original burnished silver gilt Louis Philippe ripple frame
c1830-40 with original heavily foxed mercury glass plate, which looks to be an earlier 18th century plate that was reused.
Original untouched back boards
Over-all condition is very good, the bottom corner has a bit off, but a very old chip which we have decided to leave rather that restore to keep it as original as possible.
Currently hanging as portrait but could be hung landscape too.
